What to expect when you reach out

1. Complimentary consultation

We will set up a time to talk for 15 minutes to determine if I am a good fit for what you are looking for in a therapist. If we decide that I am not, I can provide you with a few referrals for other therapists. If you decide to work with me, you will be invited to a portal where you can review the practice documents and consent to start therapy. You can decide if you would like to meet with me in-person at my office in Fairfield or via telehealth, using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

2. Intake Process

The first couple of individual sessions will focus on understanding what type of distress you are experiencing, identify how your symptoms are interfering with your life,  and develop treatment targets. We will collaboratively develop a treatment plan.

3. Therapy

Typically, therapy is scheduled for weekly 50-minute sessions. We will focus on your treatment goals and continue to assess your needs, updating our plan as appropriate.

I am an out of network provider for insurance. Many insurance plans will reimburse out of network care and I can provide you with a superbill to complete the reimbursement process. Please reach out to your medical insurance directly to determine your benefits.

No Surprises Act

Under the law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You will receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing prior to our first scheduled intake appointment. You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
